Growth calculator
Marketing Budget Allocation Calculator
Allocate a growth marketing budget across channels using deterministic fit scores, risk tolerance, experimentation reserve, and minimum viable channel budgets.
Results
Results are deterministic scenario outputs, not guarantees.
Enter values and calculate to see the summary, supporting metrics, warnings, and interpretation.
Interpretation
Deterministic interpretation rules will explain what the modeled result means once a calculation is available.
Detailed breakdown

Formula
Channel score
channelScore = businessModelFit + primaryGoalFit + growthStageFit + salesCycleFit + existingEvidenceBonus - riskPenalty
Experimentation reserve
reserve = totalBudget × riskToleranceReserveRate
Core channel allocation
channelBudget = coreChannelBudget × (channelScore / sum(activeChannelScores))
Minimum viable budget
if channelBudget < minimumChannelBudget, remove the channel and renormalize remaining positive scores
Assumptions
- This is a rule-based planning model, not a performance forecast or guarantee.
- Positive channel scores are normalized after excluded channels and insufficient-budget channels are removed.
- Experimentation reserve is 5% for conservative, 10% for balanced, and 20% for aggressive risk tolerance.
- Existing strong channels receive a deterministic score bonus, but user-excluded channels always receive no allocation.
Worked example
Example: B2B service lead generation budget
A $50,000 balanced-risk B2B service budget reserves $5,000 for experimentation, then allocates the $45,000 core budget across scored channels such as SEO/content, paid search, lifecycle email, and events based on deterministic fit rules.
FAQ
Is this allocation predictive?
No. It is a deterministic scoring model that turns your stated business context into a planning allocation.
What happens when a channel is below the minimum budget?
That channel is removed and the remaining positive channel scores are renormalized so the core budget is allocated only to viable channels.
Can I exclude channels?
Yes. Enter comma-separated channel IDs or names in the excluded channels field; excluded channels receive no budget even if they score well.
