Growth calculator

Conversion Rate Calculator

Calculate conversion rate and model how target rates translate into incremental conversions, customers, revenue, and gross profit.

Inputs

Defaults are visible and can be changed before calculation.

Inline validation messages appear here when a value needs to be corrected.

Results

Results are deterministic scenario outputs, not guarantees.

Enter values and calculate to see the summary, supporting metrics, warnings, and interpretation.

Interpretation

Deterministic interpretation rules will explain what the modeled result means once a calculation is available.

Detailed breakdown

Intermediate calculation rows will appear here after calculation.

Formula

Current conversion rate

currentConversionRate = conversions / visitors

Target conversions

targetConversions = visitors × targetConversionRate

Incremental conversions

incrementalConversions = targetConversions - conversions

Incremental customers

incrementalCustomers = incrementalConversions × leadToCustomerRate

Incremental revenue

incrementalRevenue = incrementalCustomers × averageConversionValue

Incremental gross profit

incrementalGrossProfit = incrementalRevenue × grossMarginRate

Assumptions

  • Visitors and conversions refer to the same selected period.
  • Target conversion rate is an assumption, not a forecast or guarantee.
  • Average conversion value, lead-to-customer rate, and gross margin are optional visible defaults used for business-impact estimates.
  • Currency applies only to revenue and gross-profit outputs; count and percentage outputs do not use currency.

Worked example

Example: conversion rate lift

With 10,000 visitors and 300 conversions, the current conversion rate is 3%. A 5% target creates 200 incremental conversions before lead-to-customer and value assumptions are applied.

FAQ

What is conversion rate?

Conversion rate is conversions divided by visitors for the same period or audience.

Why include lead-to-customer rate?

When conversions are leads, lead-to-customer rate translates incremental leads into modeled customer and revenue impact.

Is the target conversion rate a forecast?

No. It is an assumption used to model upside if that target rate is achieved.
